Food

If you’re anything like us, we know how hungry rallying ’round roosters makes us. So taking that in to consideration, we will be serving pulled pork and hot dogs at the Rally ‘Round the Rooster. We’ll start serving the food around 1:30.

Speakers

This years’ Rally ‘Round the Rooster has a roster that is just as fully loaded as last years’ event. We have current politicians, future candidates, and leaders in the community all speaking about what’s going on in the state. Speakers include: Powell County Acting County Clerk Karen Graham, Powell Count Judge Executive James Anderson, Former U.S. House of Representatives Candidate Sellus Wilder, U.S. House of Representatives Candidate Amy McGrath, U.S. House of Representatives Candidate and current State Senator Reggie Thomas, and Kentucky Senate Minority Whip Rocky Adkins.

Events

This year will be a special year for Democrats in Powell County. This will be the first year we induct people in to the Powell County Democratic Party Hall of Fame. To find out who is in the inaugural class, you’ll have to be there.
